To get a perspective for how many people constitute a site metering number (up to 2500), I made this little tool to get a sense of scale. Type a number into the field, and hit the 'Persons' button to see how many people you are trying to conceptualize.

Because we perceive contiguous areas in our active field of vision as a single entity, when you view by 'group' it appears much less than when you view by 'line.'
