Robotic Drawing

kinetic   <prev | next>

For an exhibition around 2003 at Cristinerose Gallery I made an illustration with a little off-the-shelf robot that I programmed. The robot was programmed with this horribly futile program that was not intended to actually draw, but simply vibrate. The illustration exists in an edition of one, and I think it is still available. In the day of the early LOGO language I used to see a lot of these kinds of things, and always wanted to do it myself once. In general, in life, I try to do everything once, and never do the same thing again. It's not easy.

If you click on the robot, you can see an mpeg of the little fella drawing. I destroyed the robot after the illustration. I felt kind of bad.
