issey's apoc

I created some illustrations for BlackBook Magazine that were inspired by some of Issey Miyake's APOC (A-Piece-Of-Clothing) pieces. Since I think that desktop patterns are a great resource, I arranged the original artwork as 1600 by 1200 images for general use. Both of the images were created by scanning a variety of aspects of some of the actual pieces from his 2004 collection. Issey is an incredible man to meet in person if you ever get the chance to see him live. He reminds me of Ralph Lauren—sort of unplaceable in terms of nationality or social position.
